Michelle Anderson-Sims is the Managing Director of Wine In A Glass. Michelle came upon the concept of a pre-filled wine glass on the London Underground during a trip to Europe back in 2012 and quickly recognised the obvious benefits that a fully recyclable glass pre-filled with premium Australian wine could offer consumers and distributors alike.
Soon she was developing her business and importing the stock of Copa Di Vino from America to test the Australian market. The response was impressive and Michelle knew there was no way she could let such a great opportunity slip away.
Within a year she had brought in her own filling line and printing machine from New Zealand and situated her production line at Jaengenya Winery in Echuca on the border between New South Wales and Victoria.
Michelle estimated that in one year she would have five employees and begin seeing her (now Australian) product, in a few places along the coast. But just three weeks after importing the filling line, she found herself with 15 employees and filling orders for thousands of litres of wine.
Today, Wine In A Glass is now home to a dedicated team that places emphasis on delivering a top quality product with excellent customer service and is exporting internationally to New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Denmark and Columbia; as well as businesses, events, catering companies, hospitals, sports venues, cinemas and hotel chains all across Australia.
